This book sounds very intriguing. After reading the first one, it's fun to hear that they make it to Russia. I can only imagine the adventures that Dan and Amy faced!
Roy, Very intriguing video.....the music fits the type of book 39 clues is...I have to wonder how my alter ego, Natalie, will do in Russia and I am curious to know what happened in books, 2, 3, and 4. Great job!
I just noticed that both Dawn and I used the word intriguing...I didn't even read hers before I posted my comment...so this tells you that we both thought it was intriguing!
I really enjoyed reading more about the series since we only read the first one. The book reminds me of a mix between the divinci code and boxcar children series. I enjoyed finding out more about the author through your text anaylsis and other resources. Thanks for sharing more of this series with us.
Roy, now you've whetted my appetite to read the whole series. In your research, did you discover WHY there are different authors? I would think that would give each book a completely different feel from the next one. Just curious.
Jody, did some research on that topic, but could not find any specific answser. But these are the things some people say 1. Probably for the story to be written by different point of views and perspectives. It could also to enable the books to be released faster after the previous book has been released. 2. because they wanted it to have different styles 3. to give the series variety. 4. 7 authors have written the books. Rick Riordan (1), Gordon Korman (2,8), Peter Lerangis (3,7), Jude Watson (4,6), Patrick Carman (5), Linda Sue Park (9) and Margaret Peterson Haddix (10)
I have some problem in posting a comment. It is not just bappening from my blog. I did a lot of experiments with differnt profiles, i did post some useing the profile OpenId, For this comment i am trying using Anonimus. But I'm Roy posting it as anonimous- Roy
Very thought-provoking discussion questions here. I can certainly imagine students really getting into a lively discussion of this text! Thanks for the research regarding the multiple authors.
